Between 1996 and 2001 I worked for a small TV production company based in Moscow and frequently travelled across Russia and the former Soviet republics filming news stories and documentaries.
Long before blogs* and youtube, I e-mailed my trip diaries to family members and close friends and also edited these expeditions into faraway places with strange-sounding names into clips which I mailed on VHS tapes.

These were not in depth documentaries or news stories for broadcast; they were my Strange Journeys. Enjoy. Best watched with vodka shots, as the Russkies drink it.
